Nestled in the Sunshine Coast forest on a 1.5 acre property, the cottage and Koopman family home were lovingly built by the owners to reproduce a heritage style home from an era past. The owners had been living in an area of Vancouver called Point Grey for many years and had always had a passion and love for older homes in that area. The early 1990's was a period when sadly many of these classic homes were being demolished. The Koopmans found themselves surrounded by the opportunity to save beautiful windows, doors, hardwood flooring plus many other architectural details. The house and cottage were then designed around these treasures, and the construction began.
